Esther enjoys working with a variety of clients, helping them to live a more fulfilling life. She provides a comfortable, non-judgemental, and safe space for individuals and couples to develop a better understanding of themselves thus gaining insight into feelings, thoughts, behaviours and patterns. She also encourages clients to work to promote personal growth.

In addition to Esther’s breadth of experience in psychotherapy and counselling, she has over 13 years of business and management experience. Therefore, she is skilled in communicating, negotiating, and conflict-resolution. Esther’s more recent focus has been in assisting clients achieve a more satisfying sex life which in turn increases an individual’s self-confidence and a couple’s relationship. It is this combination of experience that allows her to provide a unique skill set and perspective to her clients, be it individually, as a couple, or in the context of sex therapy. Her client-centred approach combined with cognitive-behavioural, Adlerian, emotionally focused therapy, and psychodynamic modalities assist clients with their unique needs.

She earned her Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology and a Specialized Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from York University. In addition, she is trained in sex therapy, and holds a certificate in Sex Therapy from the University of Guelph. She is also trained in Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy.

Esther is a member of the College of Psychologists of Ontario, the Ontario Psychological Association, and the Canadian Psychological Association. Esther is also a Certified Sex Therapist with the Board of Examiners in Sex Therapy and Counselling in Ontario.
